The Healthy Smiles project promotes oral health equity among immigrant and underserved families in Columbus, Ohio. The program operates year-round, hosting quarterly mobile dental screening events at daycares, churches, and community centers where families gather. These events provide free dental checkups, hygiene kits, and education on preventive care such as proper brushing, nutrition, and early dental visits. Between events, WAGEP shares monthly oral health tips, distributes translated materials, and connects families to affordable local dental services. Serving more than 100 individuals—primarily children and low-income immigrant women—Healthy Smiles breaks barriers to care, fosters awareness, and empowers communities to maintain lifelong oral health.
